<p>Nicolás Bonadeo se recibió de físico en Exactas UBA y viajó al exterior para hacer su doctorado. En Estados Unidos tuvo distintas experiencias laborales. A su vuelta pasó por Exactas y CONICET para luego incorporarse a la metalúrgica Tenaris donde hoy se desempeña como Jefe del Departamento de Física Aplicada. Durante la entrevista sostiene que la universidad debe formar profesionales para la industria y que ser físico, hoy en día, es estar laboralmente muy bien posicionado.</p>

<p>Los azúcares actúan como portadores de mensajes biológicos específicos entre fenómenos extracelulares e intracelulares. El grupo encabezado por María Laura Uhrig busca sintetizar compuestos miméticos de los azúcares, diseñados para tener una alta afinidad por determinadas proteínas y que puedan generar respuestas biológicas específicas que permitan administrar quimioterapéuticos en dosis más bajas pero igualmente efectivas.</p>

<p>En el marco de la competencia TECNOx, un equipo de jóvenes científicos presentó un detector portatil de dengue, de bajo costo que, de manera muy sencilla, permitiría distinguir las cuatro cepas del virus. El dispositivo, actualmente en desarrollo, apunta al diagnóstico temprano de la enfermedad, con una especificidad que evitaría confundirla con el zika o el chikungunya.</p>
