<p>Por primera vez en un embrión vivo, investigadores de Argentina y Singapur lograron hacer un seguimiento de los cambios que le ocurren a nivel molecular. Demostraron que sus células comienzan a ser diferentes muy tempranamente y predijeron el destino futuro de las mismas. El trabajo, efectuado con ratones, se publicó en la prestigiosa revista Cell y aporta a un largo debate científico.</p>

<p>Las quinonas que se encuentran en la corteza del lapacho no sólo se utilizan como tintes sino que algunos de sus extractos fortalecen el sistema inmunológico, tienen efectos astringentes, antibacterianos y antifúngicos. Un equipo de investigación liderado por Rosana Misico trabaja sobre síntesis de derivados de quinonas naturales con el fin de encontrar una posible actividad biológica.</p>
