<p>Esteban Ravaschino se doctoró en Química en Exactas UBA. A lo largo de su carrera, trabajó en la academia y en la industria. Actualmente, es responsable del Laboratorio de Desarrollo de Síntesis de Agrofina. Aconseja a los estudiantes que sigan la carrera de investigación sólo si es es lo que realmente les gusta y asegura que desde una empresa también se contribuye al desarrollo nacional.</p>

<p>Además de actuar como antiviral y antiinflamatorio, la droga VIREST, creada por investigadores de Exactas UBA y ganadora del premio INNOVAR 2014, acaba de lograr una patente de los Estados Unidos por su capacidad para inhibir el crecimiento de los vasos sanguíneos, un fenómeno habitual durante el desarrollo tumoral. Un laboratorio farmacéutico nacional la está desarrollando.</p>
