<p>El Aedes aegypti, portador del virus del dengue, chikunguña y zika, está en la etapa de máxima abundancia en Buenos Aires, situación que se extenderá hasta marzo o abril. Investigadores de Exactas UBA, que monitorean al insecto desde 1998, proponen el desarrollo de una estrategia de “manzanas seguras” como la única medida efectiva para eliminar este mosquito, que no se reproduce en ambientes silvestres. El objetivo es eliminar de los hogares todo recipiente que pueda servir como criadero. “Sin mosquito no habrá transmisión de la enfermedad”, aseguran.</p>
