<p>Los bacteriófagos o fagos, son virus que infectan bacterias y, por lo tanto, pueden brindar herramientas para modificarlas genéticamente. Mariana Piuri y su grupo de investigadores estudian cómo los fagos pueden atacar al agente que produce la tuberculosis y, en sentido inverso, cómo se puede hacer para que ciertos bacteriófagos no ataquen a bacterias lácticas en alimentos.</p>

<p>Acaba de instalarse en Córdoba el primer radar meteorológico con tecnología doppler de doble polarización, fabricado en Argentina. El dispositivo, junto con otros diez equipos similares que se distribuirán a lo largo del país, permitirá la identificación y el monitoreo de fenómenos hidrometeorológicos así como la prevención de las consecuencias producidas por eventos climáticos severos de alto impacto social.</p>
